Magdalena Lucero Zamora, born July 30, 1920 in Trementina, NM, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in Albuquerque. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fulgencio and Eleanor Martinez; her husband, Guzman Lucero; second husband, Mike Zamora; and her brother, Joe A. Martinez. She is survived by her son, Will Lucero and his wife, Judy, of Albuquerque and their two sons, Gabriel of California and Justin of Texas; her sisters, Rumalda Garcia of Tucumcari, NM and Kana Montoya of Albuquerque, NM; her brother, Jake Martinez of Vallejo, California; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends who loved her and will miss her. She had been a parishioner of the Shrine of St. Bernadette since 1999. Previously, she was a parishioner of Church of the Ascension in Los Padillas. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at the Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1800 Martha St, NE. A Rosary will be recited Friday, February 13, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
