Edith Carellas, 98, a resident of Santa Fe since 1930, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Edith is survived by her nephew, Matthew Rounseville and wife, Frenda; great-nephew, Will Rounseville; great-niece, Rene Romero and husband Albert; great- great-nephew, Casey Rounseville; and great-great-nieces, Makayla Rounseville and Miranda Romero. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Carellas; parents, Matthew and Christine Koklas; sister and brother-in-law, William and Victoria Rounseville and uncle, George Koklas. Edith was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary, holding many national and state offices in the organization. A Service will be celebrated in Edith's honor on Tuesday, February 10, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Father Paul Patitsas from St. George Greek Orthodox Church officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Rounseville, Will Rounseville, Kosta Callas, Nick Callas, Manuel Baca, Kenny Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Rounseville, Pete Callas, Gene Tison, Eloy Montano and Albert Romero. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, on Monday, February 9, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carmelite Monastery, 49 Carmel Road, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 87505-0352.
