Frances Lucero, 83, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on February 3, 2009. Mrs. Lucero is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Mr. Avelino Lucero Sr; her children, Daisy Sedillo, Pat Lucero and wife, Orlinda, Grace C. Montoya and husband, John, Dolores Montoya and husband, Frank, Avelino Lucero Jr. and Clorinda; and Mary Lucero; two sisters, Charlotte Espinoza and Chris Saavedra and husband, Carlos; one brother: Nabor O. Gallegos; sister in law, Aguida Gallegos; 17 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends. Mrs. Lucero was preceded in death by her parents Ciriaco and Altagracia Gallegos; two sisters, Eleanor Trujillo and Esther Torres; and brother, Ciriaco O. Gallegos Jr. Mrs. Lucero was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday, February 6, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Chris Saavedra. Final visitation will be Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Mission (Duranes), 2110 Los Luceros Rd. NW, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Dennis Garcia. Private disposition will take place at a later date. Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Lucero, Patrick Lucero, Carlos Lucero, Avelino Lucero III, David Sedillo, and Vincent Montoya. Honorary pallbearer will be Frankie Montoya.
