Frances Stowe Rosa Hart Anthony, (age 91), long-time resident of Albuquerque was called to her Eternal Home on January 22, 2009. She was born September 1, 1917 in Sour Lake, Texas, graduated salutatorian from Sour Lake High School, and attended the University of Texas. Devoted wife and mother, Frances was married to David B. Anthony, Sr. for over 50 years. Frances participated in the WPA and worked with the Army Air Corp pilot training program, was an assistant teacher, active Church member, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troop leader, and member of Kirtland Officers Wives' Club. She was very proud of her children's achievements. She loved the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico and enjoyed flowers all her life. Frances faithfully practiced the art of correspondence and enjoyed every letter from family and friends. Frances was preceded in death by her husband David and her two brothers, Wallace and Webster Hart. She is survived by her sister Mercedes Knierim, her three children Virginia Anthony-Barrow, David B. Anthony Jr. and Frank Anthony and their spouses and partner, two grandchildren Caneel and Edel Anthony, and numerous nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the many friends, family, care-givers, and health-care professionals who touched Frances during her long life. Frances' wit and sense of humor were with her to the end and she will be missed by so many.
