Charles R. (Rob) Smith, born July 31, 1953, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2009, after a brief illness, surrounded by his family and much love. He was a beloved husband, father and brother. Rob is survived by his wife of 37 years, Debbie, whom he absolutely adored. Rob is also survived by his daughter, Tracy, and her husband Dory. Also his two brothers, Paul Smith of Goodlettesville, TN and his family, Jeff Smith of Tijeras, NM and his family, and one sister, Mary Boldine of Edgewood, NM and her family - as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Rob was preceded in death by his son, Christopher, and his mother, Theresa. He will be very greatly missed. A small gathering is planned for Saturday evening, January 17, 2009 in memory of a very special man. The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Lovelace Downtown CICU for their effort and care, with a very special thanks to Windra and Yolanda, whose kindness and sincerity will never be forgotten.
