Obituary for RUSSELL

Thomas G. Russell, passed away on January 10, 2009 after a long illness. He was 86. Tom was born on November 12, 1922 in Minot, North Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents, George A. and Katherine Russell; his brother, Antony; his son, George T. Russell. He is survived by his son, Tony T. Russell of Albuquerque and his grandson, Lt. Cmdr. Greg Russell of New York City, brother, Gerald G. Russell, nephew, Thomas M. Russell and niece, Katherine Babic, all of Albuquerque; as well as many cousins in Canada, Greece and the USA. Tom owned and operated Tommy's Tap Room on North Fourth Street for 25 years. Later, he was affiliated with several high and middle schools as an operator of their snack bars. He was an ardent hunter, fisherman and trapshooter. He especially loved hunting Canada geese. Rev. Father Paul will officiate at the Graveside Services at Sunset Memorial Park on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. French Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
