Wanita Kirkpatrick Weimer, 93, born Nov. 10, 1915 in Carroll County, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The daughter of Paul and Jessie Kirkpatrick, she is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Paul and Charles, and her daughter Jan. She will be greatly missed. At her request, no Memorial service is being held, and cremation has taken place. A gathering of her friends will be held Sat. January 17, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at Garduno's Restaurant, 10551 Montgomery NE, to celebrate Wanita's life. Memorials in Wanita's memory may be made to the Nature Conservancy.
