Kenneth J. Schacht, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Freida Schacht; and sister, Erna Mae Driskill. Living in the University area for over 70 years, Ken enjoyed walking his dog Stutter, while they befriended a broad array of students, neighbors, and business owners. After serving in the United States Army during the Korean War, he returned to Albuquerque and worked in grocery retail for many years. He retired in the early nineties. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at Fairview Cemetery. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Grand Court Albuquerque, 300 Valencia Dr. S.E.
