Obituary for BEAULIEU

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Wednesday January 07, 2009

Carol Trask Beaulieu died peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2009, blanketed by the love of her friends and family. We will all remember her bright eyes, beaming smile, her open heart and embracing hugs. Born in Vallejo, California on August 22, 1944 to Lucille and Charles "Wes" Trask, most of Carol's youth was spent in Los Alamos. She graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1962 and later earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration at the University of New Mexico. In 1975, she returned home to Los Alamos where she raised her family and worked in Human Resources at Los Alamos National Laboratory, helping many individuals across the company before retiring in 2002, after 27 years at the Lab. She and her husband enjoyed their retirement years in Pagosa Springs, Colorado and Surprise, Arizona. Carol loved many things in life, among them traveling, quilting, eating New Mexican food, and listening (and sometimes dancing) to country music. But more than any of these, she loved her many friends and family members dearly. She cherished every moment spent with them, especially her grandchildren, Abby, Lily and Maia; daughters, Amy and Katie and husband, Patrick and his daughter, Nicole. She is survived by the aforementioned as well as by her mother; her brother, Charlie and his wife, Janet of Los Alamos and their children, Chad and Laura and her husband, Steve and their children, Annie and Caroline. She is preceded in death by her father. At her request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2009, 2:00 p.m., at the United Church in Los Alamos. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorial donations be made in her memory to two causes important to Carol, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (http://www.ccfa.org/donate/) or to YoungLives of Enumclaw, Washington mission unit number WA34 (http://www.younglife.org/Giving/). Any cards or contributions can also be mailed to 718 Griffin Ave #63, Enumclaw, WA 98022. Please visit our online guestbook for Carol at RememberTheirStory.com.
