Donald E. Peterson (Papo), 73, passed away December 30, 2008. He was born July 30, 1935, to Violet & Gordon Peterson, in Waubay, South Dakota. He is survived by his two children, Gail Imler and her husband Larry, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Stella Terrell of Pensacola, Florida; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Gilbert C. Peterson, of Yorba Linda, California; niece, Cindy Runge, of Yorba Linda, California; nephew, Mike Peterson and his wife Eileen, of Federal Way, Washington. Donald was preceded in death by his wife of over 18 years, Abigail Thomas; and daughter Diana Thomas. He was a resident of Albuquerque for over 30 years. Donald was a member of the American Legion Post 99, and retired from the US Air Force. No services, cremation has taken place. Family requests no flowers to be sent.
