Hunter Weymouth Lewis, 85, resident of Albuquerque, went to be with his Lord on December 19, 2008. He was born February 17, 1923 in Mesilla Park, NM. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Betty Marquess Lewis; daughter Abby Lewis and husband Ben Klein; sons Hunter (Hondo) Lewis and wife Shelly and Clifford ***Tureman*** Lewis and wife Lori; grandchildren Tracy Peterson, Brian Peterson, Justin Balthrop, Sheldon Richards and his wife Devon, Stefanie Richards, Natalie Klein, Hunter D. Hunter was preceded in death by his precious daughter Linna Lewis Peterson; parents Hunter (Preacher) Lewis and Edith Lewis of Mesilla Park; sisters Beulah Smith, Edith Berthelon, Fredericka Yates, and Abby Lewis. He was a decorated veteran of World War II which took him to the Battle of the Bulge and changed his life enormously. Because of the Christmas season and the recent death of their beloved Linna, the family will hold a private family memorial service in their home. Should friends or family desire they may make contributions to the Animal Humane Assoc. of NM, Inc. 615 Virginia SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 (255-5523) or Good Samaritan Society at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church 8600 Academy Blvd. NE Albuquerque, NM 87111.
