Lillian (Armstrong), died December 6, 2008 in the New Glarus Home in New Glarus, WI. Lillian grew up in Box Elder, MT and when she married James Armstrong she moved to Helena, MT. After the war, Lillian and James divorced. Lillian went to work for Mountain Bell in Helena. In 1957, Mountain Bell offered her a job in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She moved to Albuquerque and worked for the telephone company for 25 years. After retirement from the phone company, she was very active in their retiree program called the Pioneer's. Lillian met and married Harvey Rawlings while working at the telephone company. He preceded her in death in 1982. Lillian is survived by her sister Mary Thomas of Trinity, TX; two daughters Darleen Armstrong (Dan Cleary) of San Angelo, TX; Sharon Dreger (John) of Madison, WI; grandsons John and Jim Dreger of Madison, WI. She is also survived by her stepson Stanley Rawlings (Gloria); granddaughter Cary Rojas (Bill) and grandson Kyle Rawlings of Albuquerque, NM; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Harvey Rawlings; her parents; sisters Ellen Atley, Ann Perkins, Frances McKnight, and Bertha Schmoldas. At Lillian's request there will be no services.
