Willard Emil (Frank) Franklin, 84, of Albuquerque, died Sunday, December 14, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gracia; daughter Isabel Martin and husband Mark; son Ben Franklin and wife Patricia; daughter-in-law Barbara Franklin; eight grandchildren Leit Martin and wife Kim, Carisa and boyfriend Miguel, Meisje, Haley, Lane, Megan, Aharon, and Jordan; four great-grandchildren Jonah, Jade, Mackenzie and Kolton. He is preceded in death by his son Alberto Franklin and daughter Luci Franklin. Frank served his country as an Air Force pilot during the Vietnam War. He retired in 1973 as a Lt. Colonel and in between taking his family camping and fishing; he sold real estate, and was an avid gardener. He devotedly spent the past two years visiting Gracia everyday at her assisted living home. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched. Memorial Services will be held Monday, December 22, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at French, Lomas Blvd. Chapel.
