Sammy J. Chavez passed away December 17, 2008 at the age of 36. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robbie Chavez and his uncle Michael Pacheco. Sammy is survived by his parents Cecilia and Robert Chavez; son, Adrian Jonathan Chavez; sister, Melissa Scott and husband, Todd; grandfathers, Fred Pena and Tobias Chavez; grandmother, Margaret Pacheco; many aunts and uncles; and nephews and nieces, Alicia, Emorie, Todd Jr., Jude Anthony and Raquel. A Rosary for Sammy will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Church. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2008, also at San Jose Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Scott, Francisco Reyes, Jake Valenciajo, Rod Valdez, Fernando Reyes and Lawrence Chavez. Honorary pallbearers will be Toby Chavez and Eddie Villa.
