Obituary for NARRO

Mario F. Narro, 79, son of Crespin and Luz Narro, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, December 13, 2008. He was born in San Antonio, TX. Mario retired from the US Air Force where he served in Vietnam for the Air Medevac. After, he worked and then retired from UNM Mental Health Services. He was also a member of LULAC, and also served with the Air National Guard. Mario is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, Mike, Julio, Ramon, and Joe; and sister, Josefina. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Socorro Narro; children, Ricardo and wife, Elaine, Mario and wife, Rose, Lydia, Rose Mary Najar and husband, Gilbert, Alicia Calderon and husband, Samuel, Steven, Alberto, Andrew and wife, Deborah, Martin and wife, Sandra; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Irene; and other family and friends who loved him and will miss him. Services will be held at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Dr., NW (Near Coors and St. Joseph) on Friday, December 19, 2008. A Rosary will be recited at 8:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with US Air Force Honors.
