Ruth (Wolcott) King Ruth quietly slipped into the arms of her Creator on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2008 in her Rio Rancho home. She was 71 years old. Ruth was born on 3-25-37 in Montour, NY to Arthur and Mildred (Vroman) Wolcott. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband, Willard J. King of Rio Rancho; a sister, Isabel Blaisdell of Lima, NY; a son, Keith McCullough; a daughter, Susan Rodenbeck of Illinois and stepdaughters, Judith Chapman and Joann Moore of Rio Rancho, NM. Ruth was a member of the Women of the Moose for 29 years, originally joining the East Heights Chapter #1577 in Albuquerque and later transferred to the Albuquerque Chapter #1266. She held the highest office as Senior Regent in both these Chapters. Ruth ended up transferring to the Rio Rancho Chapter #2217 to be closer to her home. She was very active in any of these Chapters and always willing to help wherever she was needed. She was always prepared to take a chairmanship and followed through with her duties. Ruth was also a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks #2500 in Rio Rancho, NM where she was installed as Secretary in April of 2008. Ruth loved her association with both these fraternal orders and believed whole heartedly in their respective purposes. Cremation has taken place at Direct Cremation & Burial Service is Albuquerque. A Memorial Service will be held on 21 December 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rio Rancho Moose Lodge #2447 located at 5009 Industrial Park Loop SE. Please call 892-0339 for directions.
