Charles G. Cala, age 75, passed away on Sunday in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Havana, Cuba to Manuel and Saturnina Cala. Chuck came to the United States in 1953 and served in the United States Air Force. He was an insurance representative for 30 years and retired in 1993. Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Sally of the family home; their two children, John Cala and wife, Bernadette and Chuck Cala, Jr. and wife, Gloria, all of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Monique, Mark, Lauren and Lucas Cala. Chuck has one sister, Eliria Lavina of Denver, CO. The pallbearers include: John Cala, Mark Cala, Chuck Cala, Jr., Lucas Cala, Fred Gonzales and Jim Porter. Honorary pallbearers include: Monique Cala and Lauren Cala. The Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary-Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Father Jerry Plotkowski, Celebrant.
