Bryan C. McOlash, age 66, died November 26, 2008 in Albuquerque, after a long battle with lung cancer. Born in Sturgeon Bay, WI, Bryan graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. In 1964 he came to UNM and earned a master's in psychology in 1966. He received a MBA from New Mexico Highlands University. Bryan's interest in education brought him to the Cultural Awareness Center. This federally funded project promoted cultural diversity in the schools and helped teachers see the strengths in students' differences. Bryan's skill in proposal writing also brought hundreds of thousands of education dollars into New Mexico. He later worked in state public school finance. Bryan is survived by his wife, Caroline; and his son Timothy (T.J.). He was preceded in death by his son Bryan, Jr. (Chip). His Funeral will be held on December 13, 2008 at 10:30 a.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Community.
