Obituary for MILNER

Thomas G. Milner, 75, died at his home in Corrales on Saturday, November 15, 2008, following a long illness. He is survived by his loving wife, Judith Milner; four children, Julie Patterson and husband, Danny of Mesquite, TX, Cheryl Milner of Denton, TX, Laura Mallett and husband, Eric of Rio Rancho, NM, and Neal Scott and wife, Shelli of McHenry, IL; and four grandchildren, Mallory and Joshua Mallett, Morgan Scott and Brittany Bishop. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn Autrey of Garland, TX; and his brother, Marvin Milner and wife, Beverly of Jackson, MS. Tom was born June 11, 1933 in Yazoo City, MS, the oldest child of Samuel Griffin and Celia Mae Milner. He proudly served four years in the U.S. Air Force, and, following his honorable discharge in 1955, earned a B.S. degree in Physics at Central State College in Edmund, OK. In 1962, Tom completed a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Throughout his working years, he held positions at Texas Instruments, Ranco, Litton and Tandy Corporation. He founded and acted as CEO of MC Manufacturing in Rio Rancho until the fall of 2003. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 6, 2008, at 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel.
