S. John Hawkins, 92, a native of Albuquerque, passed away on November 28, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Dorothy, to whom he was happily married to for over 50 years. He is survived by his brother Victor Hawkins, and his sons Richard G. Hawkins, Alan J. Hawkins, his wife Melanie and granddaughter Alisha. He was an Air Force pilot during World War II. He was a prisoner of war for 2 years. John was a local architect for over 40 years where people can see his legacy all over town. He was a generous, kind, and intelligent person who will be missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Marks On the Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Place, NE.
