Ruby J. Scott, devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully with her family at her side Saturday, November 22, 2008. She was born and raised in Albuquerque. Ruby is preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter R. Scott; sister, Mrs. Ester Baca; and brother, Efren Valdez. She is survived by her son, Don Scott; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Fred Bouchard; granddaughter, Gina Bouchard; and great-granddaughter, Jaslene; granddaughter and husband, Tara and Scott Mathena; great-grandson, Alexander "A.J."; great-granddaughter, Anna Maria; granddaughter, Leah Scott; sisters, Mrs. Juanita Cox and Mrs. Genevieve Montoya; sister-in-law, Mrs. Shirley Cline; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all her loving family and friends. In the last few years, she was active and enjoyed her involvement with the Holy Family Senior Citizens, and "The Goldenettes" line-dancing group. Services will be held at Holy Family Parish, 562 Atrisco Dr SW. A Viewing will be held Monday, December 1, 2008 at 6:30 p.m., and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30. Pallbearers will be Ivan Samuel Cox, Steve Baca, Joe Sedillo, John Montoya, and Cruz Baca. Honorary pallbearers will be Alexander Mathena Roland Montoya, and Gerald Montoya.
