Richard (Dick) Neil Buteau, Sr., 72, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on November 22, 2008. Richard was born February 12, 1936, the son of Ernest and Shirley Buteau in Skowhegan, ME. Dick served his country with the Army National Guard, and the Air Force. He worked for Brookhaven National Laboratory, and retired from Los Alamos National Laboratory. He was a dedicated husband and father, an accomplished musician, and a Master Technician. He was preceded in death by one son, William. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia; sons Ric and wife Aleta, and Timothy; grandchildren, Jennifer, Austin, and Jacquelyn. The visitation for Richard will be held today, Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 11:30 a.m., at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. Military Honors will be presented by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
