Obituary for SMITH

Edna Louise Smith passed away peacefully on November 17, 2008 surrounded by family. She was born in Bristol, VA on August 21, 1919. Nine years ago, Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years William Thomas Smith. Louise and Bill brought up their children in Detroit, MI. They moved to Rio Rancho in 1985 to be closer to their beloved grandchildren. She was a nine year active member of the community at Acantilado Vista. She enjoyed card playing, sewing, knitting, crafting, and most of all making miniature rooms. She will be greatly missed. Louise is survived by her son Geoffrey Smith; daughter Laura Smith; son-in-law Charles Elliott; grandchildren, Allison Trovaten and husband Grant, Sara Rodriguez and husband Nathan, and Trevor Wolfe. She was so happy to be involved in the lives of her great-grandbabies Lauren, Alaina, Carter, and Cade. Other friends and family include Barbara Warren, Walter Antonuk and his wife Bonnie, Deborah Wearn, Tracie Antonuk, Betsey, Marty, and Andrew Chavez, Pam Hargrove, Judy and Ed Frenak, and her many friends at Acantilado Vista. The family plans a memorial at a later date.
