Kathleen Glenn Linnell, 82, died November 6, 2008 in Andover, MA. She was born June 6, l926 in Winona, MN to Sidney Erwin Glenn and Margery Westerman Glenn, attended school in Urbana, IL and graduated from University High School and the University of Illinois, Urbana. She received a MFA from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. A poet, teacher, journalist, and editor she received awards in poetry and her work appeared in publications ranging from Yankee Magazine to an anthology of Womenpoets West. She taught writing at several universities. Survivors include her sons, Andrew Z. and John S. Linnell; daughters, Julia M. Linnell and Margaret L. Macy; four grandchildren, and five nieces and nephews, and a sister, Margaret Glenn. Her brother, Sidney E. Glenn, Jr. predeceased her.
