Mary Lou (Non) Chavez Gabaldon, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away November 17, 2008 with her loving family by her side. Mary Lou was born in Tome, NM, and that is where it all began. She was raised in Los Lunas, NM, Los Padillas, and her beloved Barelas. Mary Lou is survived by her beloved children, Elizabeth (Liz) Gabaldon, Rick Gabaldon and fiancee, Josie Salazar, Dorothy L. Gabaldon, Walter Gabaldon and wife, Lisa, and Dr. Diana L. Gabaldon and husband, David Sanchez Jr.; her daughters-in- law, Christine Gabaldon and Terre Gabaldon; her sister, Orpha Robles and husband, Tom; her beloved grandchildren, Christopher and wife, Andrea, Karen and husband, Jack, Carol and husband, Manuel, Camille and husband, Ray, Rick Jr. and fiancee, Martha, Erika, Ashley, D'Ana, Gregory II, Walter Jr., Candace, Gregory and wife Melinda, Anna Marie and husband, Vince, John John and wife, Dolly; her most loved great-grandchildren, Rachel, Chris Jr., Aaron, Sarai, Jolyn, Jasmin, Kristina, Kathryn, Jasmin, Joshua, Dominic, Marianna, Alycia, Rick III, little David Gregory, Duke Norbert, Emilia, Veronica, Elena, Vincent Jr. , Giovanni, Luciano and soon to be Mario Luis; her sister-in-law, Logie Perea; and brothers-in-law, Henry Gabaldon and Victor Campbell; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norbert (Bert) Gabaldon; and her beloved sons, Greg Gabaldon and Tom Gabaldon; her parents, Juan B. Chavez and Matilda Ortiz Chavez; and her brother, Wenceslon. Mary Lou had a very fruitful life, she had a zest for life and was just a wonderful person. Mary Lou was a member of the Catholic Church, a PROUD founder, owner and operator of Gabaldon Mortuary, a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and the New Mexico Funeral Directors Association. She was the Matriarch of the Gabaldon Family. Visitation will be Friday, November 21, 2008, in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Father Gino Correa. Final visitation will be Saturday, November 22, 2008, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Father Joel Garner, presider. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her granddaughters, who made her laugh until the last minute of her life, Karen, Carol, Camille, Diana, Erika, Ashley, D'ana, and Candace.
