Robert V. Scipes, 82, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2008, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife Arlie; sons Steve and wife Hans and Greg and wife Eilleen; daughters Arline and husband Billye and Marti and husband Paul; grandchildren Brandon, Lonny, Cameron, Natalie, Rob, Malaya, and Leander; and great-grandson Jude. Robert was born on November 9, 1926 in Slater, MO. He served in WWII and the Korean War. He retired from Sandia Labs after many years of service in the auditing department. He also had his own accounting business during this time. He was an avid tennis player and golfer prior to his illness. He will be missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place. A private Memorial Service was held at LaVida Llena Retirement Center for his family. Ennichement will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
