Luisa L. Seidell-Maslak, 84, of Sandia Springs Assisted Living Center in Rio Rancho, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2008, after a long illness. She was born to the late Lawrence and Elena Martorell in the Dominican Republic. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Charles Guthrie Seidell, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Eden, of Corrales; and her greatly adored grandson, Jesse Eden, of Las Cruces. After living in Las Vegas, NV for many years, and having had a long and successful career with the Culinary Workers Union, Luisa retired to the state of New Mexico to be near her family. Luisa was a very kind, fun-loving person who had a zest for life. She will be long-remembered for her sense of humor, her generosity, and her knack for being "the life of the party." She will be greatly missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew her. Cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
