Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday October 26, 2008

Robert ROBERT KEITH December 25, 1952 - October 13, 2008 Robert "Bob" James Keith, 55, of Farmington, joined his wife, Diana, whom he dearly loved, to be with Jesus Christ. Bob quietly passed away at home. Born in Mineral Wells, TX, Bob grew up in El Paso and was a graduate of Jesuit High School and UTEP. He proudly served his country as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam as an operating room technician. In El Paso, he worked with United Way, and later transferred to Oklahoma City where he continued to use his humor and endearing personality to take care of others. Bob worked for Target in both Albuquerque and Farmington as Director of Human Resources, a position he truly loved. He often referred to the Target people as his "other family." Bob is survived by his three children, Kirsten Lofton (Ricky and son Noah) of El Paso, Ryan Hatch of Albuquerque, and Kori Crow (Chad), currently in Argentina. He is also survived by his parents, Neil and Ardell Keith of El Paso; his brothers Pat Keith (Cindy) and daughter Kelly Higdon (Greg) of Virginia, David Keith (Terry and sons Clifford and Jeffrey) of California, and Joe Keith (Norma and son Caleb and daughters Sara Neel and Meagan.) Other survivors, all of Farmington, include father and mother-in-law Carroll and Bonnie Crawford; sister-in-law Becky Crawford (Lauren and daughters Melissa Munoz Mike and daughter Elena) and Amanda Rojo; and brother-in-law Scott Crawford (son Marshall and daughters Shae Lynn, Katelynn, and Taylor.) Bob also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog, Pumpkin. Two Memorial Services will be held. The first is on November 1, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Farmington, 211 W. 20th Street. Then, a Memorial Service will be held on November 15, 2008 at 10:30 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, 2800 Pershing Drive, in El Paso. In lieu of flowers, at Bob's request, do something kind for a veteran and tell him/her "That's from Bob."
