James Daniel Diz, age 43, of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, October 20, 2008, at his home following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born March 27, 1965 in Albuquerque, NM to Joseph and Alice Diz. James served with the United States Coast Guard. He worked in sales and later accomplished his dream as a mortgage broker. He loved coaching little league baseball, and football, and spending time with his sons and family. He is survived by his long time love Diane M. Montiel of Albuquerque; his sons James Ryan, Jacob Jordan and Dominic James; three step-children, Naomi Cordova, Charles and Jackie Montiel; his Mother Alice A. Magowan; sister Doreen; brothers, Joe, Richard and Carl; maternal grandparents, Angelo and Argelia Guerra. He was preceded in death by his father Louis Magowan on August 27, 2008. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2008, at French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd.,NE.
