Alan T. Summers was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 7, 1927. He Honorably served in the Merchant Marines, was a Lieutenant in the Army during WWII and also served in the Korean War. Alan moved to Albuquerque with his family in 1969. He was General Manager at Galles on Central for many years. He then became co-dealer of Atwell-Summers Cadillac in 1979. Alan was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Summers, to whom he was married for 42 years. He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Kamm of Rio Rancho; his son, Kelly Summers and daughter-in-law, Sandy Summers of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Zach, Seth and Allison Kamm, Jennifer Sinsabaugh, Nicole and Scott Summers; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum, located at the corner of Paseo del Norte and Wyoming NE., on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Presbyterian Hospice, 8300 Constitution Ave. NE.
