Obituary for SUTTON

Adolph Sutton, 81, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1980, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2008. Adolph was born August 3, 1927 in Evanston, IL. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army, and active member of the VFW and the American Legion. For 27 years, he worked as a Lithographer in the Civilian Service for the United States Navy. After retirement, he worked for GTE in a Chicago suburb before moving to Rio Rancho and working for Rio Rancho Printing and PNM. Adolph was an avid football fan of the Chicago Bears and the New Mexico Lobos. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest W. Sutton, Jr., Clarence W. Sutton, and Jonas Sutton; and one sister, Annis V. Sutton. Adolph is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Sutton of Rio Rancho; three children, Adolph C. Sutton of Rio Rancho, Allen K. Sutton of Albuquerque, and Adrienne A. Sutton of Rio Rancho; one grandchild, Alexander C. Sutton-Wiggins; and one brother, Roy B. Sutton of Rio Rancho; and numerous loving family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held for Adolph on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 10:30 a.m., in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with Pastor Dan Lewis of Soul Rio Church of Rio Rancho officiating. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made in Adolph's name to the New Mexico Cancer Center Foundation, 4901 Lang Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
