Rebecca M. Herrera, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on October 7, 2008. Mrs. Herrera is survived by her beloved children, Mabel Ortiz and husband, Arthur, Nestor Herrera, and Erwin Herrera and wife, Rosemary; nine grandchildren, Debbie Vigil and husband, Willie, Pauline Jasso and husband, Ruben, Jennifer Decker and husband, Merlin, David Ortiz, Bernadette Saavedra and husband, Robert, Deanna Chavez, Naomi Herrera, Erwin Herrera Jr. and wife, Anita, and Albert Herrera and wife, Christina; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Herrera was preceded in death by her husband, Nicolas Herrera Jr.; her parents, Rafael and Isabel Montoya; and her daughter in law, Patsy Herrera. Mrs. Herrera was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2008 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Naomi Herrera. Final visitation will be Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Father George Pavamkott, presider. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Lee Saavedra, Erwin Herrera Jr., Albert Herrera, Orlando Chavez, Ruben Jasso Jr. and John Vigil.
