David Davies, 84, was called home on Monday, October 6, 2008. He was born April 5, 1924 in Des Moines, IA. David served his country in WWII and Korea and retired after 24 and half years as a Major from the US Army. He also belonged to the Masons and retired from the Department of Energy. He married the love of his life, Beatrice, and they celebrated 58 happy years of marriage together on May 31 of this year. To this union they were blessed with two children, a son Michael D. Davies and daughter Andrea C. Davies-Watson and husband Barry K. Watson; grandchildren, Devonte K. Watson, Deon K. Watson, Chevonne Watson and David M. L. Davies, his brother Jeroyd Evans and wife Lucy and his cousin Doris Jackson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Daniels Family Funerals, Carlisle Chapel at 11:00 a.m., with inurnment with full military honors at Fairview Memorial Park. A Reception will be held following the inurnment at the Carlisle Chapel location. Pallbearers will be Ray Loomis, James Foghorn, Russell Alberti, and Steve Smith.
