Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Thursday October 02, 2008

Ulysse "Fred" Frederick Jr., 77, a resident of Albuquerque died Friday September 26, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Valerie Frederick; children, Suzanne Fielding and husband David, David Frederick and wife Julie, Dale Frederick and wife Donna, and Ronald Frederick and wife Diana; grandchildren, Heather Fielding, Erin Brooks, Mark Frederick, Eric Frederick, Lindsey Frederick, and Jodie Miranda; great-grandchildren, Lily and Megan; and numerous other relatives and friends. Fred was born in Abbeville, LA, and was proud of his Cajun heritage. He was an honest, humble and simple individual who loved and enjoyed life to its fullest and always appreciated the hand that his faith bestowed upon him. In this context, his wish is that no flowers be provided and contributions, if any, should be made to a charity of your choice. He will be missed by family and friends. Following is a favorite saying of Fred's and he asked that we share it with you, "Nobody knows it but me (by Ad Copyrighter Patrick O'Leary)" "there's a place I travel when I want to roam, and nobody knows it but me. The roads don't go there and the signs stay home, and nobody knows it but me. It's far, far away and way, way afar. It's over the moon and the sea and wherever you're going that's wherever you are. And, nobody knows it but me." Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his Life will be held at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Thursday, October 2, 2008, 11:00 a.m. Private Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
