Abel Rubio Carrasco, 72, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2008. He was born September 26, 1936 in Carlsbad, a son of Pedro Carrasco and Albina Calderon. Survivors include one daughter and two sons Yvonne Renee Carrasco, San Antonio, TX, Ron Carrasco and Bernadette Archuleta, Albuquerque, Roderick (Cheryl) Carrasco, Thompson Station, TN; grandsons Robert, Kyle, Cody, Adam, Aaron, and Kendall; two sisters Eva Vasquez, Carlsbad, NM, Emma (Tony) Gallegos, Albuquerque, NM; two brothers Manuel "Chito" (Maria Luisa) Carrasco, Carlsbad, NM, Ruben (Mary Jane) Carrasco, California. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; Richard Carrasco; one brother; Juan Carrasco. The Holy Rosary will be recited Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW where friends may visit with the family from 6 to 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd N.W.
