Alan Kent Grooms, 69, passed away, surrounded by his family, peacefully at home in Chino, CA on September 19, 2008. Alan is survived by his wife Gail; daughters Ginny and Rhonda; son Erik, daughter-in-law Angelica; son-in-law Jay; and grandchildren Brandy, Megan, Melissa, Emily, Jay II, and Erik II. Alan, a l957 graduate of Albuquerque High School, moved to California in l973 where he met his wife Gail and together raised their family. In 2005, Alan retired to his vacation home in Bullhead City, AZ where he loved to take his boat to the lake and fish, took pictures of the magnificent sunsets, and played ball with his Maltese dogs, Taffy and Krissy. Memorial Services will be held Friday, September 26, 2008 at Draper Mortuary in Ontario, CA (909) 986-1131. His ashes will be returned to Albuquerque.
