Tomasita "Tommie" DeBlassie, 88, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Tom; her four children, Robert and wife, Rose DeBlassie, Helen and husband, Euvaldo Valdez, Margaret and husband, Ben Ruiz, Steve and wife, Gina DeBlassie; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Gutierrez, Ralph "Lito" and wife, Helen Gutierrez; two sisters; Blandy Salas, Bebe and husband, Prudy Durand; and sister-in-law, Emma Gutierrez. She was born in Albuquerque on May 22, 1920 to the late Andres and Elena Gutierrez. Tommie worked at Kirtland AFB from 1956 until retirement in 1985. She was affectionately known to all as "Mom". Rosary will be recited Friday, September 26, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., at Holy Ghost Parish, 833 Arizona SE. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 27, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Ghost Parish.
