Erma Hollingsworth, a resident of Albuquerque for four years, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Roy Hollingsworth; four daughters, Linda Stephens of Odessa, TX, Roxanne Pittard and husband, Don of Albuquerque, Trenna Tankersley and husband Charles of Williamsburg, VA, and Treva Nance of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Roy Stephens and wife Charla, Carla Steffen and husband Brett, Lynn Knight and husband Chris, Amara Nance, Jake Nance and wife Taylour, and Mark Tankersley and wife Claire; six great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jo Johnson and husband Leroy of El Dorado, KS; and several other relatives and friends. Erma was preceded in death by one grandson, Worth; two sisters; and one brother. She was born on July 19, 1920 in San Saba County, TX to Arthur and Minnie Shell and graduated from high school in Grady, NM. Erma attended Eastern New Mexico University where she graduated with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education. She taught in Clovis and Tatum, NM for several years. Erma was a member of Clovis First Baptist Church for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of her Life will be held at French Mortuary, Wyoming Stateroom, Thursday, September 25, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to your church or the charity of your choice.
