Elizabeth H. Sanchez-Martinez "Liz", age 54 of Placitas was welcomed home to be with the Lord on September 15, 2008 while surrounded by family and friends. Liz was born in Albuquerque on August 16, 1954 to Albert and Veronica Sanchez. Liz touched many lives through her devoted work with the church. She was called upon to serve in many ways, including missionettes leader and womens ministry. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert and mother, Veronica; granddaughter, Celestial McCoy; and brother-in-law, Greg Clapper. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Martinez; children, Fred Sanchez, Monica and husband, Adam McCoy, Eloisa and husband, Jeffrey Culin, Nicole Martinez, Tiger and wife, Loretta Martinez. As well as many, many grandchildren. Survived also by sisters, Loretta Clapper and Sandra Valdez. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 25th, 2008 at Eagle Rock Worship Center, 7518 Oakland Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113, on the corner of Alameda and Wyoming. Special thanks to her co-workers, Patrick, Georgia, Christine and Debbie for their time and contributions to Liz and her family. Liz was and will always be an inspiration to her family and all who were blessed to know her.
