Jimmie Neal Little joined our Lord on September 19. 2008. He is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Ramona Clotilde Silva Little; his daughter, Dionelia Martina Gutierrez and her husband Steven; a granddaughter, and the love of his life, Moira Grace Gutierrez; three step-grandchildren, Christopher, Danielle, and Steven Gutierrez; his brother David Ray Little and wife Louise; brother, William Edwin Little and wife Joyce; sister-in-law, Helen Little; and many nieces and nephews. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Ray David and Grace Alma Little; his brothers Gerald Lenard Little, Roy Louis Little, and Thomas Almer Little; a niece, Phyllis Little Barnett; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gregory and Mary Ann Silva. Jimmie was born in Wetumka, Oklahoma October 2, 1941. He graduated from Hobbs High School in 1959 and moved to Albuquerque to attend the University of New Mexico. He left UNM to join the United States Air Force, serving in Duluth, Minnesota with the 4645th Support Squadron from 1961 to 1965. He and his wife were married in Duluth November 9, 1963, and returned to Albuquerque in 1965, where he attended UNM and received a BA in Electrical Engineering. Jimmie worked for Eberline Instrument Corporation in Santa Fe for 38 years. After retirement, he pursued his hobbies of art restoration and gardening, and taught himself jewelry making, creating beautiful and beloved pieces for his wife, daughter and granddaughter. His most beloved pastime, however, was taking care of his 14-month granddaughter, who was the joy of his life. Daddy, you always made sure we were taken care of. We give you to the Lord so that you may be taken care of now. We love you and miss you. Visitation will take place on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. also at the Church. The mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 10:00 am at St. Jude Thaddeus Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW. Burial will immediately follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be his nephews David Bruce Little, Douglas Little, Tyler Morgan, Michael Cohn, Aaron Silva, and Adam Silva. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, 1011 Yale Blvd., Albuquerque, NM 87106 in memory of Jimmie Little.
