Jane Clare Myers Kuellmer, 81, of Las Cruces, NM passed away on September 12, 2008. Jane was born on June 23, 1927 in Flossmoor, IL to Lawrence Stanley and Jane Myers. Jane received her BS in 1950 in Physical Science from the University of Chicago. In 1950, Jane moved to Socorro, NM. She received her Teachers Certificate in 1973 from New Mexico Tech University. She was a licensed Insurance Agent, she served on Governor King's Commission on Aging, she was active in the Episcopal Church and was very active in local politics. Other notible organizations she was included in were the AAUW, Good Samaritan, Red Cross, Socorro Mental Health Foundation Board Member, Socorro Public Library, El Puente, the Socorro General Hospital where she was also a board member, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Sweet Adelines Enchanted Mesa, Square Dancers Club, Civitan, and the NM Tech Community Theater. Jane is survived by her brother and his wife, Lawrence and Janet Myers of Potomac, MD, sister-in-law Bernice Baumann of Chicago, IL. Her children Ellen Kuellmer, Louise Springer, and Lawrence J. Kuellmer and his wife Wanda. Her grandchildren Justin Dehnert, Anthony DiGiacco, Victoria Springer, Melinda Hefner, and Asia Kuellmer. She is preceded in death by her husband Frederick Kuellmer; and daughter Marcia Jane Kuellmer Dehnert. A Memorial Service with Communion will be held on Saturday September 27, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., at The Epiphany Episcopal Church in Socorro, NM. A meet and greet will be held in the Parish Hall until 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jane's name to The Epiphany Episcopal Church 908 Leroy Place Socorro, NM 87801 or to Meals on Wheels c/o Socorro Senior Center 1410 Ake Socorro, NM 87801.
