Obituary for BRENNAN

Margaret Ellen "Peggy" Brennan passed away at home on September 15, 2008, surrounded by her devoted husband and loving children. Peggy was born in Albuquerque on August 8, 1923, to Joseph and Laurene McCanna, a pioneer Albuquerque family. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wilfred J. Brennan; children John and wife Sarah, Barbie and husband Anthony McMahon, Alice Myers and husband John, Fred and wife Shawn, Tim and wife Laurie, Jane, and Maureen; brother Peter F. McCanna, sister Janet King and husband Vernon, and sisters-in-law Helen McCanna, Rosemary Glennon and Barbara Brennan; grandchildren Aubrey and Christopher Brennan, Scott Ashcraft and wife Merissa, Amy and husband Rhett Waterman, Matthew Myers and wife Katie Curry, Lucas and Katie Myers, Collin, Ryan and Kaelan Brennan, Amber, Alysse and Tim Brennan, Dave, Jennifer, Eric and Brennan Doyle; and six great-grandchildren--five generations of Albuquerqueans. Peggy graduated from St. Vincent Academy and the University of New Mexico with a degree in music. She was in Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Church where she was baptized, confirmed and married. Peggy was an avid bridge player with her dear friends of Casa Angelica and St. Joseph's Auxiliaries. She was also a past president of Casa Angelica Auxiliary. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Copper and 6th Streets NW) on Friday, September 19, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, and the pallbearers will be her ten grandsons.
