Joseph "Steve" Rubio died Saturday, September 13, 2008 in Albuquerque at the age of 54. He is survived by daughter, Eileen Roybal; sons, Steven Rubio, Andrew Rubio, Adrian Rubio, Joseph Rubio; and eight grandchildren all of Albuquerque, NM; mother, Rosalind Boatman of Gallup, NM; brothers, Rick Saraccino of Gallup, NM and Brian Halloway of Cucamonga, CA; sisters Glinda Sabala of Ontario, CA, Denise Campa of Cucamonga, CA and Bernadette Lujan of Gallup, NM. He was preceded in death by sister, Linda Alexander; grandson, Jeremy Rubio; and granddaughter, Madeline Rubio. Steve was born October 29, 1953 in Los Angeles, CA. The majority of his life was lived in Gallup, NM where he was well known as a superior craftsman and a master of his drywall trade. While drywall was his physical work, he will be most remembered for the life lessons regarding the importance of hard work and responsibility which he imparted upon all who knew him well.
