Ruby Dorothy Atencio, 71, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2008. She was born March 20, 1937 in Chamisal, NM, a daughter of Alfonso and Julia Lopez. Survivors include her husband, Eloy of Albuquerque; One son and three daughters; Vera (Larry) Saiz, Orange Co., CA; Karen (Sonny) Salas, Albuquerque; Daniel (Olga) Atencio, N.C.; Julia Atencio, Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, and one great granddaughter; five brothers and one sister; Gerald Lopez, Long Beach, CA; Adelmo Lopez, Chamisal, NM; Luis (Jeanette) Lopez, Chamisal, NM; Jessie (Julian) Martinez, Albuquerque; Alfonso Lopez, Albuquerque; Clyde (Jane) Lopez, Las Vegas, NM. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Estevan and Robert Lopez. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW where friends may visit one hour prior.
