Genevieve U. Rodriguez went to be with the Lord Sunday, September 7, 2008 at the age of 88. She was born April 14, 1920 to her parents, Manuel and Eloisa Benavidez in Jarales, NM. Genevieve was a good gentle woman with strength and kindness. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Rodriguez; sister, Clorinda Rivera and brother, George Benavidez. Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by her son, John Rodriguez and wife, Lori; daughter, Betty Rodriguez; grandchildren, Tanner and Tyler; brother, Roman Romero; and sister, Vina Salas. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements by: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW 247-4124 www.salazarandsons.com
