Obituary for O'BRIEN

Michael James O'Brien, 54, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away unexpectedly the evening of Tuesday, September 2, 2008. He was a dedicated food and beverage professional and manager at the High Noon and Cee Vee Catering. Mike was preceded in death by his loving parents, Gene and Betty O'Brien. He is survived by his adoring daughter, Kimberly O'Brien of Denver, CO; sister, Kathy Allred and husband, Bill of Boise, ID; brother, Mark of Dillon, CO; and by his best friend and girlfriend, Cathy Germack. Additionally, he is survived by Cathy's daughter, and son-in-law, Lauren and Donny LeFebre and their children, Ainsley, Alex and Angel (who loved their "grandpa Mike") and by his aunt, Janet Atkinson of Corona, CA. He left behind enumerable friends and loved ones who brought so much joy to his life. An Avid golfer, fisherman and life-long Broncos fan. He truly enjoyed all sports and living life in the moment. A Memorial Service in Mike's honor will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel.
