Janis Ann Briggs, age 57, passed away on August 30, 2008 following a long struggle with cancer. Born October 10, 1950 to Robert L. and Zela M. Briggs, she received her BA from University of New Mexico. She is survived by her children, David Briggs, Kathryn Briggs and Carrie Hall; her grandchildren Renee Pomerleau, Amanda Seek and Anthony Hall; her sister, Sharon Milligan; and her mother Zed Briggs. She is also survived by numerous friends. Janis was an ardent lover of animals, literature, and music. The family would like to thank Jan's many friends for their support and kindness during the last months of her illness. A Celebration of Janis' Life will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the UNM Memorial Chapel. Arrangements by Daniels Family Funeral Services in Rio Rancho, NM.
