Barbara Ann (Burrill) "Mutti" Weissenborn, 75, a resident of Albuquerque, a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend was called into eternal life by the Lord on Friday, August 22, 2008. Barbara waged her battle with cancer as she lived her life, with strength, bravery, grace and a never ending faith in God. Barbara was born on June 1, 1933 in Evanston, IL to Georgia and Cyril Burrill. Barbara had four sisters and one brother, Mary Whelan (deceased), Joan Straka, Carol Gorelick, Margaret Bratton, and Joe Burrill (deceased). Barbara married her high school sweetheart Ron in 1955 and they had five children. Ron served in the USAF, so the family constantly moved over the years. She is survived by her husband, Ron, of 53 years, her children and their spouses, Steve and Marsha Weissenborn of Plano, TX, Michael and Jennifer Weissenborn of Moorpark, CA, Paul and Dagmar Weissenborn of Pleasant Hill, CA, Gail and Robert Putz of Carlsbad, CA, and Greg Weissenborn of Albuquerque. Barbara has nine grandchildren, Matthew, Kevin, Katie Jo, Riley, Cory, Dan, Erik, Garet, and Chase. Her family and friends were her greatest blessing and she was ours. Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at French Mortuary - Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will be held at Kirtland Catholic Community (Kirtland AFB Chapel, enter through Wyoming Gate) at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2008, followed by a Celebration of Life Reception in the Chapel Hall and burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m..
