Michael Gaillour, 82, of Questa, NM passed away August 24, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Michael served his country during the World War II in the European Theatre. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Master Sergeant in 1946. Michael was born in Vaughn, NM on July 11, 1926. Michael owned, operated and partnered several successful businesses to include building contracting, automotive services, towing, trucking, school bus contracting, as well as Real Estate Investing. He was a member of the Questa Credit Union Board and the VFW Post 7688 where he served as a former commander. He is preceded in death by his parents; John and Louisa Gaillour, his sisters; Emily Shahoain, Lucy Gonzales, and brother; Reynold Gaillour. Michael is survived by his wife, Oralia Gaillour, daughters; Vivian Vigil and husband, Christopher of Santa Fe, NM, Mavis Miller and husband, Douglas of Plano, TX, Christine Martinez and husband, Walter of Albuquerque, NM, Linda Myers and husband, Patrick of Atlanta, GA, and Melissa Owen and husband, James of Santa Fe, NM, son; Michael E. Gaillour and wife, Cindy of Albuquerque, NM, grandsons; Christopher Vigil of Tempe, AZ, Jason Martinez of Albuquerque, NM, Mitchell Martinez of Albuquerque, NM, Benjamin Myers of Atlanta, GA, Zachary Gaillour of Albuquerque, NM, David Owen of Santa Fe, NM, and Matthew Owen of Santa Fe, NM, granddaughters; Jennifer Shea and husband, Ryan of Santa Fe, NM, Jacqueline Martinez of Albuquerque, NM, Katherine Myers, of Atlanta, GA, and Madelyn Owen of Santa Fe, NM, great-granddaughters; Jonah Vigil of Tempe, AZ, and Isabella Shea of Santa Fe, NM, great-grandson, Thomas Shea, of Santa Fe, NM, sisters; Marie Galindre of Eagle, ID, Margaret Martinez and husband, David of Albuquerque, NM, and Annie Rogers of Eagle, ID, and brother, John Gaillour II and wife, Priscilla of Rio Rancho, NM. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Anthony's Parish in Questa, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 29, 2008 at St. Anne Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. in Santa Fe, NM. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
