Ernest H. Palacios was born November 8, 1925 in El Paso, TX. Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Ernest served honorably in the US Navy during World War II and Korea. In his younger years, he enjoyed the sport of fencing and loved the ocean. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Evan Michael Palacios; and son-in-law, Stan Vargas. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lupe, of the family home in Albuquerque; a daughter, Marina Vargas, of Albuquerque; two sons, Ernest Rene Palacios and wife, Bridgett, of Albuquerque, and Carlos Jaime Palacios and wife, Esther, of California; six grandchildren, Vanessa, Marisa, Carlos, Adrian, Jonathan, and Marco; three brothers, Abraham, Richard, and Joey; a sister, Mary; and other family and friends who loved him and will miss him very much. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity at the Marketplace, 2520 Chama NE, two blocks East of Louisiana and one block South of Menaul on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev.
